Strobostomp. I've had it for 6 months or so and once you learn the little tricks to using it, it's excellent.

What about being on a dark stage? Does it show the letter, and is there enough light to see what your doing? Because the TU-2 is great for seing in the dark..
the display has a bright blue backlight and it works wonderfully in the dark. you can see the letter and the strobe patterns with no problem.

I just did a gig this past weekend. We played on a very dark stage (between songs), and I was able to tune no prob with my strobostomp. Love it!

Does the Korg have true bypass?

I just got my Strobostomp the other day. As far as I know it's the only true bypass tuner. The mute function is great, the blue led is real bright. There are some nuances to getting the most out of the SS. Using the side of your thumb rather than a pick seems to work. Also turning down the guitar volume half way and using the neck pickup are supposedly useful tricks as well. Now I just need a Tone Press and my GAS will be beaten down for a little while.

The Strobostomp has actually improved my pitch. I now can tell if my guitar is the least bit out of tune.

I tuned up with a DTR-1 last night and could have sworn it didn't sound as in tune as if I would've used my Strobostomp.

I too don't knwo how I lived without the strobostomp. It takes a little getting used to but that is only because it is so much more accurate than anything else out there. The second runner up would be the Korg to me. And all of this from someone who has two boss tuner paperweights now LOL......

I use the Boss, the white stomp-box model. The bypass thing doesn't matter to me because I use a loop-box with a tuner out button on it. The Peterson looks great, but they are all only tools, IMO you need to have good ears to intonate a guitar. Your touch has a lot to do with how in tune your guitar plays...
