Forgive me, but I don't know anything about them.

Who are D.R.I.?

I see that they're playing my favorite shithole in Worcester. That leads me to believe they are of the brootal metulz genre.

Cant believe they are still banging away.....

Last time I saw them was in FT Lauderdale, Summers on the Beach (?) on the Crossover tour...

Skinhead riot with security....mace sprayed everywhere.....chair tossed through front window....the works...

If I remember correctly Dirty Rotten Imbeciles. Punk, Hardcore, Thrash.

Crossover thrash. Closer to Slayer than Metallica. Great band.

Very cool! Last I heard, Spike was dealing with health issues. Hopefully he's doing better.

No Chicago dates though (I don't see me going to Joliet to catch them).

I'm really going to date myself here, but I saw D.R.I. at the Turning Point in Toronto in 1983 (or something). There were probably 60 people there. They had one album and the 'Violent Pacification' 45" EP out at the time....

I saw them last December. Going again next month. Previous to that, the last time I saw them was back in the Dealing With It and Crossover days. They still sound like DRI. I had a great time a year ago.

OK. I'm going to totally date (and out) myself here:

I played in the second act of a three-act bill that was DRI's very first gig ever. They were going to be called the Suburbanites, but changed their name to DRI right before this gig. They played first. We played next. The Degenerates headlined. Joe Starr's Omni on Westhiemer, Houston TX, probably 1982.

Nice to see them still going at it.
