Hi guys,

I'm going home after a year here in Australia, and trying to look for new amp for myself. Music style I play is quite wide, but I play the most pop-rock kinda thing. As it is in the title, I can pay up to 1000$, because there's plenty of other stuff to buy, too... ;)

I tried to look for it, but there's so many kinds of amps that I've almost drawned. To make it easier, I'm looking for a small, tube, combo. I play almost always on small stages, so amp I had before (Peavey Valveking 100 Head) was much more powerful than I actually needed and I've never used more than 50% of his power.

For know I've found Orange Tiny Terror Combo. It's 30W, so it's perfect power for me. What do you reckon?

Let me know what you think :)
Take care,
Michal

The Tiny Terror sound is pretty distinctive. You may love it or you may despise it. There may be a small problem in that there's really no clean sound in that amp, so if you want really crystal clean parts you'd probably do better with Egnater or Traynor.

Any specified models of Egnator and Traynor? Thanks ;)

I don't know Vox AC30, but I thought it's totally vintage sounding amp. Is it not?

AC-30, duh.

I was gonna say a Vox or Vox clone. I have a Vox Night Train head I run through a 2X10 and that setup can nail the pop-rock sound. You can get the head for $499.00 new.
