View Full Version : Son's on the Billboard Charts!!!!

My son's Church band released their 2nd CD, and it's # 12 on the Christian Album Charts. He penned wrote all the music for about 3 songs on the album and helped pen the music on 12 of the 14 cuts. He wrote all of the backing tracks for their first release of the CD. They actually transferred all his original tracks to the studio computer,and the then he played the acoustic parts and the singer layered his parts. The name of the band is Shake The Nation . My son is really a Classic rock guy. He grew up listening Journey,Boston,Kansas,etc. . He listens to Classic rock and a lot of Christian rock,but is also into bands like Muse which really inspired his writing on this CD. This song which he wrote all the guitar,bass,keys/synth and drum parts was inspired by Muse.

Congrats Tex.. I remember hearing some of your sons playing and writing on SoundClick. I was always impressed... well done.

That is fantastic. Christian rock is a great platform. Lot's of great rock music being made. It is really hot right now not to mention the future rewards.

He bumped down David Crowder who is one of my favorites. David does an amazing show if you ever get a chance. (He also has a signature Anderson Guitar, the Crowdster)

Appreciate the kind words. He's really found his calling in this musical genre. He's able to use all his musical talents to compliment the songs their writing. Shake The Nation got to open for David this summer when they came to town. He said they were amazing. I didn't get to attend

Thanks Bub. He's been very impressed with your musical talents from the very first time I showed him your stuff. The fact that my son's work has impressed you makes me a very proud dad.:D
