Re Kemper delays, are they adding new hardware or only refining the software?

Kemper keeps to be delayed. Videos has been around "for ages" and several month ago they showed us pictures of build units. Still it´s just new delays every month. What the heck is happening? Are they working with hardware problems? If not, i.e. if it´s only about software developing, why not release it and let people upgrade the firmware over internet later??

2 things and this is total speculation from a post on another board .
Basically said that Kemper had figured out a few different things to refine the profiling process.

#2 as you said a lot of people we saying great idea for studio guy but the live guys want a rack .i had even emailed them about that . the reply was" thanks for your intrest in Kemper ,anything possible" .So maybe if they have gotten 50 emails on a rack mount kit that is what they are working on for Namm in Jan and then a release shortly there after .

A "profile player only" 2U rack version, at a price close to 1000 euro would be absolute killer IMHO.

I find it kind of strange that no one from Kemper spends a few minutes on these boards and give people interested on their product some real info on what's going on, or even if they don't know the release date at least give some info, on what we can expect, it's kind of becoming a joke the release date for the Kemper, I hope their support for the product will be better then their presence on the forums, their tech support for the keyboard stuff is pretty good, so there is hope. :)

Obviously, they announced the unit a little prematurely, but they probably didn't think so at the time. this kind of thing has happened before in electronics.

That said, what would you rather... that they released it with bugs and problems... or waited and delayed and released it really "ready for prime time"... Hopefully for those who will buy it, it's the latter, and there's really no reason to think it's not the case.

But boy, what a wait! I feel for you guys who are waiting on this.

I think they honestly were hoping to have it out a few months ago but as others said maybe supplier slow down ,bugs refinements .Obviously it is not at a point yet where they are comfortable to release.

I think the safe bet is you will see a finished unit at NAMM in Jan and in the US probably Late Feb -March . I hope you guys that ordered see it before Namm but I am being realistic

We've already seen it at NAMM, and announced for June release.. lol
Glad i'm not in a rush for it, or really need it, it's more of a new toy to mess with and see the possibilities, so i'm ok with the delays, every time i talk to the sales guy about possible release dates, right now he just laughs and doesn't even give me an answer anymore.. :)

Glad you did not lost your humor. :aok:aok I only will get insane when you can bypass the waiting list when paying an extra amount of money. If they do this in in the US it is up to you to deal with, but I stiil find it immoral.

But as stated a 2U or 3U KPA is adios FAS amigo!
