View Full Version : Need help. Should I do this deal?

I have a few amps and one amp that I don't use much is a Vox Ac30cc2x with blues. I did the bright cap mod, but with my tele, I just don't really get along with it. The main amp I'm using right now is a Sebago DT50. Really liking it.

So I got an offer to trade the Vox for an Epi Casino '61 Reissue with american p90s and Switchcraft parts + $300 for the Vox. Is this a good deal? Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know what your amp is worth but I'd value the Casino at $500 +/-. You can check prior sales on ebay for value on the Vox. The Epi won't show much in a like search I think.

Is it the regular Casino with upgraded parts?

Maybe if you can post a link of the guitar?

The one used Vox of the same model sold for $850. The two used '61 Casinos sold for $675 and $775.

Great guitar.

I'd say that's about right. Good deal if the guitar is in good shape.

Did the Vox that sold for $850 have the Blues in it?

Yes. I do see some ads on Craigslist for the Vox w/Blues to be going for $1100. But who knows if they sell for that or not.

Well I think that the Vox w/blues fpr $850 is a great deal. But even if you could sell the Vox for $950 and buy the Cassy for $675, you're still coming out ahead. I say pull the trigger. Especially if the Vox is just collecting dust.

The thing is, once you have that Cassy, you're really gonna want a vox. LOL.

I saw a AC30cc w/blues [floor model] go out the door at Sam Ash NYC for 1200$. The Epi. is a great guitar, I have the vibrato version.
