Hello all,
I tried two HRDLs today and to me the chrome-face one sounded better than the newer black-face one. The chrome one just had fantastic harmonics.
The newer one appeard to have a much slower/softer attack and overall, and, as indicated above, I preferred the tones of the chrome one by quite a margin.
Could this be down to speaker break-in and potentially tube differences? Or, are there other differences between these?
