brownface question

i'm working on a brownface concert and a brownface super. both are 63's. the tone controls on the super seem to be more interactive than the concert and it sounds better in general. looking at the schematics i see that the concert uses a 350K treble pot with a 70K tap. what is the purpose of this? thanks as always. jmac

Can't help you much personally, but I do remember from a few years back, Keith Menefee (amp tech and builder around VA, I believe) had a great rep. as THE guy who had the hippest tweaks for brownfaces. Worth looking up.
There's probably a lot of experts on some Fender forums.
