Infraction System
Our software contains an infraction system that has been set up by the administrators. When a moderator or administrator sees a post that breaks the rules of this website, an infraction is given, with infractions varying between 1 point to 3 points. Minor violations of the rules generally count as 1 point, more serious infractions (such as flaming other members) count as 2 points, and posting things that could potentially involve TGP in defamation issues count as a 3 point violation. Points are accumulated over time if a person continues to break rules. The length of suspensions ranges from 2 weeks for a total of 3 points being received, all the way to a one year ban for 6 points.

If you receive an infraction, you'll get a PM noting the reason. Of course, if you have gotten enough points to be suspended, you won't be able to read a PM.

An infraction is simply a warning. Add up 3 or more points, that's a suspension.

My email is banned? Why?

Due to security issues, services such as Hotmail, Yahoo and the like are indeed not allowed.

We do allow you to keep your email private though, but require an email that isn't from folks that offer "throwaway" accounts. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but it is out of necessity that we made this rule.

We would encourage you to sign up with a non-"throwaway" address such as that given by your ISP. If you are concerned about privacy, you may conceal your email address in the User Control Panel.
