Best Budget Comp?

    Hi Jason,

    Not putting you down, the way you phrased that made it sound like it had been on your board for a real long time, no big deal, sorry. Personally, I had one for about a year, and I really liked it, it was quiet on my rig and I liked the country flavored compression, had tried the MXR 76 Reissue Dynacomp first, but it was real noisey on my rig. I like The Wampler Ego Compressor the best, you can boost or compress with it, it is very well made and sounds great. I could not afford to keep both, so I sold the Custom Comp.

    No that's cool, honestly it seems like I've had it forever. I think mainly due to gigging a lot and it was one of the first pedals I got when I was building my pedalboard. Lots of gigs and a zillion pedals later, and it feels like I've had the thing for an eternity.

    I do think it can do some things really well. Just wasn't for me either, in the end!
