    Looks to be from around 1974/75 or so, when it was popular to strip a Bass, add a Badass, usually swap in some DiMarzios (the cream colored ones). The Brass pickguard was another popular change. You see many stripped P and J Basses from this time with tortise guards on them and other changes.

    Guy i got it from also claims that its a 74/75 with an upgraded brass pickguard and pots and badass bridge. Im a total noob with basses is this a P or a J bass? Or something else? Any tips on how I can provide better photos for identification?
