I'm considering a multi switch pedalboard looper (such as the Voodoo Labs switcher, Carl Martin Combinator etc) for my pedalboard. I'll need 8 loops probably.

Anyone who uses loop switchers care to share their experience? Thanks!

MusicomLab switcher. 8 loops built into a solid little package. You get 5 programs at a time. It also has an instant access mode but it's a bit clunky. You press one button to have the main 4 buttons access loops 1-4 and another button to make the same buttons access loops 5-8. It's the best small looper that I've seen. The Gigrig is also another option but it's big. Here's some pics of my board with the MusicomLab.

I had the Carl Martin Combinator 2 and it couldn't do the looping like I wanted it so I sold it and got a G-system. The Combinator could not loop something in the effects loop and the front of the amp (like a delay in the loop and a tubescreamer in front of the amp).

One I experimented with for a while before going to a rack. I use a CAE RS-10 MK II.

I can't say enough about the gigrig...have two of them. Superb for the switching aspects, but the real benefit is how much the signal path and the quality of the parts used, add up to improve tone.....JW

not to hijack the thread, but what are you using to power the Musicom? I've seen on Musicom's site, that it takes either 9V AC, or 12v DC.. .
how can it take both AC or DC ?

What do these things do? Why are they good to have? I don't know much about this stuff.
