Does anyone know where one could buy a Schaller Golden 50 pickup? Or if they even still make them?

They pop up on ebay once in a while. I saw an NOS one listed in the last couple days, may still be available...

Michael Schenker preferred Schaller humbuckers - second only to the original gibson PAFs in his old flying Vs

Thomann is a good shop. You can order without worrying.

I started getting them from StewMac but they discontinued the line. So I contacted Schaller directly and bought 10 sets of these both neck & bridge directly from Schallers German plant about 10 years ago. I had to buy 10 sets to be a dealer. I still have 8 sets w/covers.I contacted them recently to check on other PU combinations and they quit custom builder direct sales. All I can say is their the most evasive pick up out there and everyone that has played mine or I put a set in one of my Custom B guitars loves them.

The tapping is not that dramatic if playing them distorted or pushed but when playing clean it's fairly noticeable. The european suppliers one are really expensive. I'm good for now but it would be nice to have a US source on these.

Has anybody ever tried the Schaller Strat single coil replacements?
