I haven't played either of these, but both have some sweet features, get stellar reviews, and sound good in clips. The Super 17 seems to edge out the STR-Tremolo in overall features, and Goodsell's Black LIne is actually the same price as the Swart, but it really comes down to tone, and I wonder who's had experience with both. Any help or advice would be greatly appreappreciated.

    Some specific questions:

    Which has more gain?

Could you compare the gain-structures of each?

If the amps sound like anything more common (Fender, Vox, Marshall, etc.), what would it be most like?

    Which has better reverb? Tremolo?

With the Swart, is it a "loud 5 watti?

Which amp is overall more tonally versatile?

    Thanks again.

    Steve
