Cheers Gary, I had those videos on loop for about an hour. Love the overdrive sounds around the 2 and 6 minute marks.

Yup, Nicky's clip on the RF SODII sound really good.
That's my next one for sure Gary.
On a side note, I discovered just how great OD2 can sound with the Boost engaged.
DEFINITELY hot rod Marshall tones in there!!!

Dude- that Nicky clip makes me wanna saw my guitar in half. :messedup

The tone on those amps is like a mega bowl of Cap'n Crunch with the most perfectly chilled, full on Vitamin D Nectar...then you hit the boost, still searching for my perfect simile for that tone..Perhaps there isn't one..

    Yet.

I have a 50 w Zingaro, I use it at home and for gigs. I find its fine for at home use, I can keep it at a comfortable volume and not bother my wife or neighbors. I can great a real nice OD and clean tones at low volumes. It really sings when opened up though as do all amps.

    I don't think you'll find much of a volume difference between 50 and 25 watts. It's only 3 a db difference - logarithmically speaking.

I know I asked Gary this in an email, but I figured I'd ask here if anyone else knows the difference between the standard Desert Sky voicing and the one with the RF tweaks?

Please tell me that if I incorporate these in my SOD II build, that I won't have to play "Politician"! LOL

I have that amp and it plays Poltician by itself when you first open the box to prove it's authenticity, but then it's over. The rest is up to you!

Man... Any amp that Gary builds is magic. For a blues/rock guy (me), playing a Santa Cruz is a stunning experience. :bow

I'm awaiting builds of a 100 watt Desert Sky 6l6 and a 100 watt Santa Cruz EL34. I'm very much looking forward to gigging some of Gary's creations!
Now the difficult part, the wait... LOL

And FWIW, I can take ONE more amp in the NEXT build cycle.

That spot is first come first serviced, and open to all..

Of course that is for a Super Overdrive II

Really liking my new phat momma! Tried it last night through a 2x12 with 65's and it was sweet.......also a 4x12 with vintage blackbacks.......more rocking but something gritty In the highs..........I've decided to go with two fanes that I heard 183 through ......it was awesome!

Slowly back away from the keyboard J.T., nice and easy.

    :D

One day soon, my tri-fecta of GW tone will be complete.

New SOD II with AZ Bluesman voicing hit my dock last Tuesday.

    Astonishing Amplifier Gary!!!

I'm amazed at what little play the Bluesmaster circuits get. The 70s circuits are brilliant clean platforms but the Bluesmaster cleans are really amazing. Very tight and exceptionally HiFi.

The HRM side of the OD 2 channel is VERY Eric Johnsonish. OD1 starts at a Very Low gain OD but is something I've always looked for. The way the Bass response works really impressive.

The features of the SOD II frame is really cool- Loop/Loop Bypass is a nice feature.

The Reverb is as good I've heard.

Currently running it with a Kerry Wright cab with Golds. I am gonna load my other 2X12 with some 12-65s or M75 LHDCs as that speaker variant is really great with these circuits.

    Stoked!!!

BTW- Wishka's Santa Cruz with EL34s sounds like a really cool power section for that circuit. Can't wait to hear some clips with that rig.
