Say, it's West Side rather than West Coast blues, but I can highly recommend the latest CD from Eddie C. Campbell. Spider Eating Preacher comes out officially (from Delmark) tomorrow, but Bluebeat has had it in stock for a couple of weeks, and mine arrived on Saturday. This one in particular is loaded with Eddie's idiosyncratic originals; Fender reverb-y Jazzmaster tones; his distinctive playing -- and it features Lurrie Bell on three tracks (one on harmonica!). Great stuff. Did anyone happen to catch Eddie at Cadillac Zack's jam last week?

So it doesn't get lost from the previous incarnation - does anyone have any recent news on how Lynwood Slim is getting along?

I'm sure! I miss the Blues in the Bay Area, especially at the Grand Dell and PHB. More videos to come?

I caught him at Legends - had shamefully never heard of him prior to that. It was a killer show!

How do I "go to latest post" in a bookmark? I usually copy the suffix over from the old bookmark, but I accidentally deleted the old bookmark before editing the new one.

If you can, post the suffix here rather than an actual link.

Was getting no signal through my tank today whether it was on/off with the footswitch. :/

Any suggestions to check first? Could it just be the RCA style cable from the input shorting out?

A drummer I work with is really good friends with Slim. He talked to him this past Saturday. He said Slim sounds good and things are hopeful. That's all I'll repeat cuz I don't want to speak out of turn. I really should call him myself. Maybe I could convince him to post here.

Hey, I have videos! Here's a couple from Excello night at the Mojo Lounge. We digressed into a pork chop theme for a bit.

The camera was on the opposite side of the stage from me, but on the plus side, you can hear Vance's bass real good.

That's Jimmy Dewrance on the harp.

What happened to letting the mods lock the thread, then seeing who gets to start the new thread? Well next time I guess I'll just make sure I pop the 1K post and start the new one!

:rotflmao That's a big effin' pencil!
I can tell you this: I never measured the neck on the green one but I measured another Kay 125 with a smaller neck. It was over 1" thick at the nut.
