What's the best British hi-gain overdrive/distortion?

    I thought the Howie by Menatone did a pretty good job as well.

    I tried a KOTB once...i was highly disappointed...but it was an older 5-knob version

    i'm pretty impressed with my MI Audio Crunch Box. It sounds damn good! I've been playing 80's hair metal and GNR ever since it arrived! Sounds good boosted with the FoxRox ZIM too.

    I've been getting good stuff from my tonebone hot british for years. It has a ton of gain on tap, so I usually keep the gain around 1 or 2 (!). I bought it for the EQ options and haven't looked back (great EQ options, can match it to well to most rigs IMHO). Good luck with your hunt!

    I've had the Crunchbox and KOTB and both were great but I still prefer my Tonebone Hot British for the 80's hot rodded Marshall tones. The only downside to the HB is the size and wall wart.

    I had a ReezaFratZitz and a BJF BBOD at the same time. Thought they were both very similar sounding....in a great way!
