I want to know the difference between all the dumble circuits
so far I know there are:

    80's circuit
    90's circuit
    skyliner
    bluesmaster

    hrm? non-hrm? (not sure)

what else is there? and what is the difference between them?

Not a Dumble expert but tough question to answer,it depends on your needs. DO a search at the ampgarage.com under the Dumble forum. They have great info on all the variations plus schematics and what not. That way you'll know what you like best about a Dumble and heck will answer the question wether you want a D style amp or not....

    Depends what you are into

for an 80's circuit -- click on Breezin (sounds very similar to my Fuchs non-HRM ODS)
    http://www.gregorhilden.de/cd_blue_in_red.htm

for an 90's HRM circuit --- I think robben F uses an HRM in the Jing chi album

Maybe Dr. Lerner can jump in and point you to some comparison clips.

the whole album is almost a love letter to the dumble amp. It is a terrific album --- highly recommend you purchasing it.

The featured amp on the album is an 80's circuit dumble.

Blue clouds is the 80's dumble. It is actually featured in the video to that track.

Here is the link to the video

That is a certain tone Robben Ford got on the song Politician I believe the album that song is on is Mystic Mile.

Buy these albums by Robben Ford and all you questions will be answered grasshopper....

    Talk to your daughter
    Mystic Mile
    Handfull of Blues
    Keep on runnin
    Truth

Also listen to Jackson Browne "runnin on empty" thats David Lindley and thats some of the fatest greasiest slide tone around.

i thought that was done with some little old tube combo, not a dumble? i vaguely remember an interview where DL talks about cranking some obscure little amp until it was on the verge of dying, with its tubes glowing blue.

I thought I read a thread where they mention DL playing through a Dumble on that tune... I could be wrong :dunno Would'nt be the first time. I also thought I saw a video on You tube of that song & DL was playing a Dumble on that. Althouh it's very possible for the studio he did plug into a small amp. Anyway you cut it it's good tone.:AOK

i found a post by dana o that sounds pretty confident (he usually knows what he's talking about).
so that gorgeous rick vito solo on "like a rock" was a dumble as well, huh?

Gregor Hilden is a fellow member of the Gear Page.

Nice guy --- and one hell of a guitar player.

I really like his style of playing and his choice of material.

Gregor is a great player for sure. Interestingly enough, he has sold his Dumble and is now working with a Ceriatone OTS.
