Why don't tube amps have built-in logic that senses bias mismatches and automatically adjusts to avoid overdrawing - doesn't this technology already exists.

Yes. GAGA-50 allows you to use 2, 3 or 4 output tubes, with any combination of output tubes (6L6, 6V6, 5881, 6550, KT66, KT77, KT88, 6CA7, or EL34 -- see http://tubedata.milbert.com for 27,000+ tube data sheets) GAGA-50 Play-Any-Tube. Additionally, because there's no audio output transformer, tube failure (or speaker failure, or disconnection, or dead short) will not destroy GAGA-50, even if being played under full power.

Why don't they measure the cabs total impedance and then automatically switch the amp to the right output - this must already exist.

GAGA-50 Drive-Anything. GAGA-50 has one 1/4-inch output jack. It's optimized for 8 Ohm speakers but drives anything, including a total open or dead-short without self-destructing.

Why don't they have a built-in attenuator to reduce output - instead you have to buy an external $150 box built by some goof in his garage.

GAGA-50 Power-Step lets you attain full blast distortion without necessarily having to endure full blast volume. Seven steps adjust from 1.5 watts output (with full output tube distortion) up to over 100 watts output (with full output tube distortion). Patented ZOTL Technology allows for extremely fast recovery from overload conditions, so gliding into and out of full output tube distortion is smooth, graceful, and feels instantaneous.

How about having a fan that turns on when the internal temperature of the box reaches a certain threshold? This exists in dozens of applications and should cost under $10 to add.

Not necessary with GAGA-50, whose output tubes reach about 250degF. Output tube temperature in GAGA-50 is very conservative for two reasons: Auto-Standby and near perfect impedance matching (and consequent minimized operating tube current) due to patented ZOTL Technology. GAGA-50 Auto-Everything

Why don't they have a built-in use timer that tracks the use time and intensity of use of the power tubes and then tells you when to replace? Or even better, it senses changes in the power tube output and tells you ahead of time to replace.

Output tube lifetime in GAGA-50 is greatly increased --perhaps to years or possibly a decade or more-- for two reasons: Auto-Standby and near perfect impedance matching (and consequent minimized operating tube current) due to patented ZOTL Technology. As tubes age their current capacity reduces, but their voltages do not necessarily change as much, ZOTL takes advantage of this by operating the output tubes conservatively but properly at minimal necessary current.
