That's awful.

Like stealing Rembrandt's brushes.

I hope the gear is recovered!

Part of touring that no one likes (getting robbed) but happens all too frequently .. I toured with Twisted Sister in the 80's and one show we came out of on Staten Island i believe, all the cars had their tires slashed who parked close to the theater...guess that was one of the times i was glad i parked a mile away, cause i couldn't find a space closer ... same feeling as being robbed, but

DK's pedals:
Boss Chorus Ensemble;
Boss TU-2 tuner;
Boss digital reverb;
Xotic Effects "EP" Booster;
Suhr Riot distortion;
Dunlop "Van Halen" signature wah;
Ernie Ball VP JR volume pedal.

GG's pedals:
(mounted in a distinctively crappy-looking "tea tray" pedalboard):
Xotic Effects "EP" Booster;
RetroSonic "Vintage Vibes" chorus;
tc electronics Flashback delay;
tc electronics Polytune tuner;
Guyatone WR-3 envelope filter;
Dunlop "Jerry Cantrell" signature wah;
Ernie Ball VP JR volume pedal.

That sucks, but these pedals are easily replaceable.

Italy has the worlds best pick-pockets too, but I still love to go there though...

At least here you can't buy weapons and shoot in the streets, and healthcare is free. For everyone.

Let's not pretend that Italy, or anywhere else for that matter, is some perfect haven better than any other place.

I've been to Italy many times, and while it's a beautiful country, it has more than it's fair share of issues.

This sucks but i cant belive musicians still leave their instruments in their vans. I've had people looked at me funny because i have taken my guitars with too funny places, but heck i never, ever leave them in cars. I can understand not taking heavy duty stuff but not personal instruments. I hope they recover them. Good luck.

Sorry for the loss. I agree with a previous post that we should never leave gear in vehicles.

I was at a large guitar show with a dealer friend. He had 2 bursts (yes, one 58 and one 59 Les Paul flametop), and we got odd looks from people in a Mexican restaurant when we came in with the 2 guitar cases. Of course, we swapped the original brown cases for cheaper off-brand cases at the show so nobody with vintage knowledge would target us. It was still weird though. And yes, those guitars came to the hotel room as well. Hard to sleep with $500,000 of guitars next to your bed...
