Multi Amp/FX Setup Question
Howdy, hopefully this is the right place to post this. Riddle me this: If I am running three amps (two for stereo delay/reverb effects, the other dry) and use an amp switcher/line selecter thingy with one output going to the dry amp and the other going to the stereo rig, will I get noise or problems if I am using separate effects for each of the amp setups? In other words, the effects would be placed after the signal switcher. So guitar-->signal splitter--> routed to different sets of effects-->amps. Am I making sense here?

Your description makes sense and ought to work, assuming you mean putting wet effects after the splitter. I would keep dry pedals before the splitter personally.
Noise issues in this type of setup often result from running multiple amps off the same power source resulting in ground loop hum. If this occurs, a condition and/or voltage regulator helps. Another issue to consider is wether your delay and reverb are digital. If so, do they convert the dry signal to digital? Then they could cause a latency that results in phasing issues. I run my wet signal with killdry (100% effect only) for that reason. I like using a chorus set to spread stereo for this (depth maxed, speed at min) so you don't hear chorus, just a huge spread. I also would suggest considering other ways of splitting the signal. I personally like a post-power-section line out of my tube amp so my dry effects can push the tubes and I hear the same effect on the wet speakers. I use full-range solid state PA speakers for the wet and an H&K Red Box after my tube amp line out and it works beautifully (if I may say so myself). You can see in my sig, dry effects to amp, line out to red box and wet effects (with modfactor on killdry) to the PA.
