Tele-Strato-Master finally built

So this was a fun little brain child i had been working on every since i played a Music Man Albert Lee 3 P90 Model. It was my poor mans attempt to recreate that guitar in a more personalized style. I have never had much luck bonding with a strat but have always wanted to. I always had great luck with tele's in my past and have jonesed for a jazzmaster for a long time so i put them all together and made this.

Specs:

John 5 Tele neck
Warmoth Split Jazzmaster body
Curtis Novak P-90's
Wilkinson Trem
CTS Pots (Master Volume, Master Tone)

I had it wired up with a super switch and its wired like the Hanson Cigno.
1st position: Bridge
2nd position: Bridge/Middle
3rd position: Neck/Bridge
4th position: Neck/Middle
5th position: Neck

I am still bonding with it but even as of right now, i love it. Its a bit a heavy. Not as heavy as my Les Paul but still has a good chunk behind it. very balanced around the neck. And every person who sees it always says, "What is that thing?"

Its not every ones cup of tea but i LOVE it. So i thought some fellow TGPers would too.

I like it. Is that body alderwood? Those heavier Wilkinsons add weight, but I dig the sound.

Thanks fellas, yeah the body is alder, I think in a perfect world I would have gone with a stop tail bridge but the trem sounds so darn good with these pickups.

Very cool, the only downside to me is that the John 5 headstock is so distinctive it might be mistaken for a new signature model of his, but other than that I really, really like it.

I'm not into the John 5 headstock but otherwise I think it's very cool!

One of the few bodies big enough that the J5 headstock looks well proportioned.

Super-excellent!

I like it, from the offset body to the split pickguard.

Like somebody said, a tuxedo look.

Headstock, meh, but it doesn't detract from a cool looking guitar.

Thanks for all the kind words, the twisted tuxedo is definitely what i was shooting for. the headstock for sure is a love it or hate it thing and i think it was so different than a tradition tele or strat headstock that it pulled me in, and for this project it kept everything in proportion...its a very long guitar.
