carbon copy ver 1 or 2

i know how to tell but is there a way a non expert could tell from say the serial number

You can tell if your CC is revision 1 or 2 by removing the back plate and look at the upper left of the circuit board. If the resistor in location R7 says 474, it's revision 1. If it has 000 on it, it's revision 2.

So what's the difference in sound between the two?
Brighter,Darker,Cleaner,Muddier sounding ?
