The ultimate youtube guitar gear review...

Here I'm going to review this xxxxx bridge pickup from xxxxxx, to show you the kind of tones it can produce. Just keep in mind, the guitar I'm using for this demo is made of jelly beans, and my little sister just ate half of them. The amp I'm using is a Deluxe Reverb Reissue, Reissue, Reissue, and has all the same simulated transistor tube-like tone as the reissue reissue. The speaker cab I'm using is made of two of my car 5" speakers, and is linked by a cup and string to a goat who reproduces the sounds to my 4-track because that is what I have around right now. My microphone is the one from my 14 year old phone, and you might lose 80% of the frequencies but you get the idea. I also have in the signal chain a compressor, balloons, and a 5 speed transmission with true bypass so you can really hear the signal as it was supposed to be heard. Just a quick sound sample so you can hear the tones of this pickup.

lol balloons and a 5 speed transmission...I totally agree...youtube demos of pickups are terrible. the nuances between pickups are often far to subtle to be noticed in the kinds of demos like the one you described.
but seriously, get some sleep haha
