Do you use Finger Ease?

Do you use Finger Ease for playing bass? Does it really help?

I tried finger ease back in the '70's, I found it messy. I suggest GHS Fast Fret. It applies with a wooden handled felt, and with the included cleaning cloth, extends your string life.

Fast Fret is better than finger ease.

Finger ease is a messy spray where Fast Fret wipes on the strings without any messy over spray

Fast Fret helps to minimize string squeak as well.

Finger Ease is full of silicon . Don't use it if you've ever thought about refinishing your instrument in the future. That's because it's impossible to get out of the wood in the fretboard. Also you have to be concerned about over spray that affected the body, headstock while it was being applied to the fretboard.

Fast Fret is mineral oil... Don't know about Finger Ease...

But I do guitar finishing all the time and in fact recently re-sprayed a previously unfinished neck I know I've used fast fret on weekly for a couple of years. SO no worries with Fast Fret

I use it. Some folks wipe it all over the neck, I just only lightly spray the strings for longevity and speed. I think its good stuff and havent experienced any of this getting stuck in the fingerboard nonsense...then again I take care of my guitars fingerboards and frets by polishing and buffing them at every string change.

No. Different brands and types of strings will have a different feel. Help with what?

Are you serious? I mean I'll try it unless you're pulling my leg . . .

A friend told me about it, read it from some interview with a guitarist, don't remember who it was.
We were jamming, and in South La., it gets humid here. Fingers were dragging on the neck. Nobody had finger-ease. So he suggests "nose grease." Sounds gross, but I have oily skin. Rub a little oil on my finger and wipe it on the fretboard. Works great.

That is so disgusting. I hope that I never cross paths with one of your guitars.
