My son passed away

Two nights ago. He was 26, our only child. He was truly the joy of our lives. Even though I don't "know' anyone here, this is a place I used to come almost everyday for a few minutes. I just felt the need to do this.

His mother and I are devastated. He suffered from depression and despite all the love and help we tried to extend, things got so bad for him that I guess he felt there was only one solution.

If anyone of you have a friend for family member who you feel is suffering like this, please don't hold back or you may have regrets for the rest of your lives.

Sir, I wish I had something useful to say, but I haven't. Please take care of yourselves as best as you can. From Me and my wife, all heartfelt best wishes to you and yours.

Paul.

As a father I can't begin to comprehend your sorrows. From someone that does not know you, please accept my deepest condolences. I pray you and your family in this extraordinarily difficult time.

My wife suffers from anxiety. Mental illness is still so poorly understood, even by the experts.

Thoughts and prayers.

Very sorry for the loss of your son.
No parent should have to experience this.

I hope that you eventually find peace and the pain eases over time.
Maybe you can take a small bit of solace in that your son is no longer suffering.

My deepest sympathy.

I've lost two of my daughters (not deceased - just gone from me with no communication for >2 years). So I do know how you're feeling. And it doesn't seem to get any easier. At least not yet.
