Mick Taylor is sitting in tonight with The Roots on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon

?uestlove posted this picture earlier and wrote "I'll be honest with you, until they told me he was sitting in with us, I had no clue The Stone's Mick Taylor was still alive. Glad he's sitting in on late night with us."

It'll be great to see Mick Taylor play, and an interesting combo with the Roots.

Comes on at 12:35/11:35 pm central

We played a few shows with Mick and his band a number of years back. Had many late night chats with him. Stories about Stevie Nicks, Stones, Clapton, etc. He is a great guy. Classic though he would come on stage and just turn everything up on his combo, never hitting a note first. He played really loud... Ronnie Ciago was playing drums with him at the time, he and I met when he was in the Riverdogs; it was cool to reconnect.

I'll be tuning in to see Mick for sure!

Got tickets for 5/14 at 10:00 for Mick's last show at the Iridium Jazz Club, NYC. The facebook page says "A very special guest is expected on monday which will probably make this a once in a lifetime show with bragging rights forever. Already is great."

Hmmmm, guess who is hosting SNL next week... Mick Jagger. Now with GUITAR WORLD partnership, who knows what to expect?

Why is Woody Allen watching him and when did he dye his hair?

And if my daughter wasn't graduating from college this weekend I might be on my way to New York Monday.
