Just caught this show last night. Steve's son John's band opens - and Steven and Bernie sat in for a few tunes. Very Jazzy set list with some wah/clav funkification by the Wiz. Dig it!

Steve had a really interesting sound going. His primary visible tools were an echoplex and wah feeding an old K&M amp. With this setup, he was able to get a sound that was uncannily similar to a trombone at full bleat. It sounded great!

Highly recommend seeing this tour!

Haven't seen it myself, but he's apparently been playing a new fretless made by Scott Walker.
