Shots of my (soon to be) new Suhr

Just got these in from Travis today. John had suggested a change from the top edge matching blue I'd spec'd, so went with what was my second option.

Suhr absolutely nailed the mahogany, with the Aqua Burst top, going for a sorta South Sea vibe/colors. One of my favorite parts of the world, BTW.

Will pick it up after John returns from vacation, early August,

So here is a peak..., fresh out of the spray booth!

Don't you just absolutely love the way Suhr handles a set neck! To my eye, it's pretty voluptuous!

Had wanted it, for my 60th Bday Friday, but think it's worth the wait.

Nah, this is a GG spec, but with a wider nut, and ebony.

Already have a Suhr HSS, standard, that I love. Probably my most resonant guitar, with absolutely great complex overtones.

Is yours one of the three wide nuts?

Been in lust for one, since I first saw the LE last year at Suhr's guitar clinic/Govan seminar/Aristocrats Concert at Wildwest. (Brilliant store, BTW. Well worth checking out, if you are in the area.)

Unhappy

I really envy you guys...I started the quest for a lefty Suhr Set Neck Modern back to 2010. So far, all I got is "definitely will do, but no promise on when"...sigh
I could get a bolt-on modern instead (if so I would have been playing it for over a year now), but the beauty of the set neck joint is irresistable. So I just keep on waiting.
Hopefully the lefty SN is among the many interesting things John mentioned in his post that he will do in the near future.

That's gorgeous. Is that a set neck, through neck, or what? From the pictures it looks like a single piece of wood (pardon my ignorance).

It is a set neck with deep tenon. Agreed, the transition makes it look like one piece of wood. Truely a work of art, IMPO.

VERY COOL. I would have bet quite a bit on it being a through-neck. I hope you're proud.
