I'll answer you with a brief overview. If you would do me a favor and
post it on the forums you participate on I'd appreciate it. More
detailed info will be available shortly and you will be receiving a
complete overview of this new amplifier, the new Memphis Series combos
and heads, and the new AR Series speaker models in the mail.

Sig:X is the new 3 channel amplifier making it's debut in prototype from
at the 2007 NAMM show.

Please note that the NAMM prototype photo that is now circulating on the
internet is still in "concept" form. The front panel control layout and
functions are mostly complete as shown, but the cabinet front design and
the logo graphics are not yet engraved in stone.

The design goal was to produce a player friendly amp in terms of control
function, touch sensitivity and power amp response. Players who
appreciate the unique VHT voice but find the CL and UL amps to be
unforgiving will appreciate the increased saturation and natural
compression of the Sig:X design. The Sig:X delivers a strong feature set
which is extremely functional and intuitive to operate. Several tone
tailoring options make it possible to cover a wide range of tonal
terrain, making inclusion of the VHT Graphic EQ unnecessary. The lack of
graphic and the use of a KT88 pair for 100 watt power (something we've
been doing for years with the 2/90/2 power amp), allows us to offer a
versatile, full-featured amp at an attractive and attainable price.

Features include:

Three independent channels with separate tone controls.

Three-Position PRE EQ VOICING switch for each channel allowing custom
tailored tone shaping.

Exclusive VHT GAIN I/GAIN II Voicing and Overdrive configuration with
Channel Assignable, Footswitchable, Variable Gain Boost.

MORE/LESS MODE (Gain Stacking) for each High-Gain channel to select 3 or
4 Tube Gain stages on selected channel (channel assignable as on CL/UL
models).

New POWER SHIFT feature takes VHT's exclusive Enhance Mode Technology to
a new level of flexibility. Enhance Mode, a standard rear panel feature
on the Fifty/Twelve Combo, Fifty/ST Head and Fifty/CL Head since 1995,
now resides on the front panel as POWER SHIFT, allowing channel
assignable Tube/SS Rectifier and 100W/60W output power selection
simultaneously with a deceptively simple, channel assignable user
interface - a single mini toggle switch on each channel.

New SIDEBAND feature gives you fast, focused power amp response in 100W Mode and increased power supply lag and "Ghost Note" harmonics
in 60W Mode for rich, expressive power amp
response at any playing volume. SIDEBAND mode changes automatically with POWER SHIFT switch setting on each cannel.

Two dedicated sets of VHT exclusive Depth and Presence controls, one set
for the Clean channel and one set for the LEAD and RHYTHM channels. Each
set of Depth and Presence controls are voiced for their specific
channels. In addition the LEAD/RHYTHM set has 2 different voicing
profiles which automatically change for low gain and high gain modes.

Footswitchable True-Bypass, Series/Parallel Effects Loop with level
controls.

True 100 Watt RMS Output power with a pair of Premium Matched KT88 Power
Tubes.

Although the MSRP on Sig:X has not been firmly established as yet, we
believe buyers will be extremely pleased. In addition, the price will
include the footswitch and cover along with a 5 year limited warranty.
Delivery is targeted for April.

That's about all I can tell you for now.

With Best Regards,

Steve

Sounds cool Steve. Versatile! Right up my alley.

Can you update that pic link you have there? Looks like the reference is to a pic on your computer....

I saw and heard the prototype at NAMM, interesting but not enough to stop me from ordering a Deliverance 120. I don't need three channels, just one killer channel will do me fine for this amp.

You can E-mail me the photo if you don't have a place to host it. I forgot to take any shots of the VHT booth which is stupid because I've known Marcus for years.

I like it. Got a *mean* look to it.

Could it accept other tubes to bring down the wattage?

Guys, no knock on VHT (I am a bigtime supporter) and no knock on SteveVHT (who is a great Forum member) but copying html straight up and asking folks to post on forums belongs in the dealer section, it is sales, whether paid position or not for Steve.
