Seller's Remorse

I sold my Tyler SE. I haven't even shipped it yet --and I miss it already! Crazy. Anyway, I may have to get another with a couple different specs just to fill the void. Or perhaps buying a D'Pergo will make me feel better.

I buy/sell/trade a lot of guitars. I usually know when it's right to move a guitar, but once in a while I get pangs of regret while I'm doing it. This time was no exception. O well, that's how the economy of gear works I guess.

Any other remorseful sellers out there?

I'm parting ways with my '77 SG- had it for 10 years.
I don't feel that great about it, but i'll feel alot better once i get it's replacement in hand.

The last two 335's i sold we're special - I've tried to get one of them back but my usual buyer won't let it go. In the end, i rarely used the 335 so it's not that much of a biggy.

My seller's remorse is very old. Several vintage guitars and a killer 71 50 watt Marshall full stack (sigh), is why I keep almost everything I buy these days.

1959 Les Paul Custom - Bought for $700.00 and sold for same amount a year later. Hate to think what it's worth today.

Gentlemen! I found a novel way to redeem myself for the lost Tyler. I bought this:

LOL, yeah, I'm a hussie!

I got it from a guy out your way, http://www.matrixcoffeehouse.com/hog/guitars.htm. Edit - Turning out to be a bad experience, would not recommend using them! I'll post more details later.

While you're waiting, you can buy some of the stuff I'm probably going to have to sell to afford this one.

Remorse is my middle name. I had Scott Lentz custom make me two strats (alder and mapleboard and ash w/brzilian board.) I also had the Lentz "Punk" tele. By FAR the alder Maple board lentz was the best sounding and reacting (to my ears) It just rang--the synergy of th parts was just awesome. I sold the other two and kept the daphne blue maple board.:AOK This particular guitar (of the quite a few that I have) is very sentimental to me as it has some stories that go with it that are assoicated to my 4 year old daughter...

I start getting the vintage itch and sell in afit of trying to fianance some old gear...out of my hands, into one forum brother , than another. I contact the forum bro's at different times to try to get it back (desperately) -- no can do. The third woner later puts it up for sale on Consignment at a store and I have no cash!!!! I call to make a trade witht he store owner but no can do cause its on consignment.

Finally get the cash...I call the owner back..and it's on hold, already sent to the new owner for approval.

I'm moping around a few weeks later and log into the gear page and lo and behold guess what was just listed on the emporium...for LESS than what it was on consignment at the dealer for? :AOK

The seller, who I've done deals with in the past, is cool as hell (THANKS MARK!!!!) was desperately in need for cash something urgent and even tho I didn't have all the cash, let me pay him over two weeks.

Needless to say this bad mammajamma aint going nowhere.:moon
