Lovepdal Eternity Vs. V-Stack
I have a V-Stack that I'm very happy with but am wondering how it compares to the Eternity. They both seem very similar in that they have a built in treble boost as well as OD.
I hear folks talking about the Eternity all the time. Not much mention of the V-Stack. Anybody have experience with both pedals who can illustrate the differences? Thanks |

I have both and love 'em both.
Different territories to me - V-Stack very Marshall-like; Eternity more open, less-compressed. I find the V-Stack is very much a preamp - best into clean amps, good for direct recording. Eternity good in a range of amps set clear to dirty. Of course the 'treble boost' in each varies quite a bit from the classic 'Rangemaster' sort of vibe. |

Isn't the V-stack an "amp in a can" type effect?

Does function much like a preamp, but a great 'pedal' into clean amps.

Wayne,
Thanks for the info. That was what I was looking for. |

I have the Tweedy V-Stack - more "American" sounding than Marshall. Think Fender/Boogie (not rectifier). I tend to use it more for recording and direct pa - but have used it on occasion as a drive pedal. Works pretty well all around.
