Guitar Rooms...need ideas and pics

Well, we are moving to the suburbs, and I finally will have a music room. I need some ideas on how to hang/display guitars...room acoustic recommendations...carpet vs. tile vs. wood for flooring.

I want it to feel warm, cozy, hip, but still coffee shop-like. I might display framed and matted classic album covers and some other tasteful music memorabilia.

Any help is appreciated...Thanks, Nick

LOL!

I just finished my guitar room last Spring. The slat-board and hangers are from String Swing...

I also have a workbench that I picked up from Sears:

(P.S. That's Ron Thorn hard at work in my basement...)

Uh, Jamie....I know it's the pot calling the kettle black but....ahh- I think you have a problem-

That's a lot of guitars. Apparently you like PRS (15) and Teles (12)?

Hey! One of those PRSi isn't mine! (the White Mira)

Plus, the amber SC (the 3rd form the right) is also gone!

Jamie

P.S. OTOH, not pictured is the new McCarty 57/08 sitting across the room on a stand and the SC HB I picked up this week... So I can't argue your point...

Here's my office renovation I completed last year.

My side:

Wife's side:

I built all the furniture except for the Modernica daybed. Believe it or not it was my wife's idea to hang all the guitars up. I have 6 more in the hallway as well.

That's Chiba's and it schooled me on the virtues of Miras at the ThornFest a couple of weeks back!

Mini and Muffin guarding the premises...

Some ampage (Shiva and Heritage Patriot not pictured):

My little corner of the cave (that's my Tele Custom on the right...!):

The tracking area (Hamer Monaco to the right and the Gretsch Tennessee Rose to the left):

Here's my Guitar Room/Corner. Its a bit messy, but this is what you can get away with when you don't have a girlfriend.

My wife and I just bought our first home, and we're still waiting to move in. It's a split level home with about an equal amount of space downstairs as upstairs. She's letting me turn the entire downstairs into a music/recording/work area, complete with plenty of space to jam, record, and a space to work on things. I have the best wife.
