Ron Asheton. Great story in Metro Times!

Not suprisingly, Metro Times did a great story on Ron Asheton this week. I noticed many people chiming in on the RIP Ron Asheton here on this forum and thought many of you, if you allready have'nt read the article would like to read.

Enjoy!

Read that one a couple days ago, great work on MT's part. Especially liked Powertrane's bassist's comments, came across as a fan even tho they were accepted as peers by Ron and the guys. Also Watt's got enough r'n'r war stories to keep me entranced for the rest of my life. Great dude.

cheers,

aaron

LOL! I was at that show! Santana stole that show! I was told that it was all part of Iggys show was to throw shit at him. I really didnt know anything about him to be honest. I just got into their music about 10 years ago.

Hey, does anyone have that concert of Iggy that was just done recently on dvd? I have it and love the hell out of it!

There is also a tribute on the I94Bar ezine www.i94bar.com with extended words from Mark Sisto, words from Deniz Tek and others and related links including the full comments of Powertrane's Chris Taylor.

I94 of course being the z-way running from Ann Arbor to Detroit and metaphorically from SE MI to Australia, Europe and other points including NY and LA.
