Derek Trucks + Bobby Whitlock....Oh yeah!!!

Bobby W recently sat in with DT and together they played a smokin' version of "Anyday". Even all these years later, his voice still melts me.

And DT? What planet is he from? Duane would be proud.

Track # 12 entitled (oddly enough) "Joyful Noise".

Enjoy.

That would have been very cool to see. Anyday is one of those great D&D tunes that just drips emotion and feel. I used to cover it in high school bands but we could never really pull off the angst. I'm glad Bobby survived his more "formative years" and is still actively gigging (mostly in the Austin area, IIRC).

I remember seeing him play a tiny basement hotel bar in Baltimore, a few years post D&D, with about 5 people in attendance.

I remember the first time I heard "Thorn Tree in the Garden"... haunting tune. Never really considered there might be other people in the band besides EC and DA worth getting into. Was I ever wrong.
