Fender Bassman fake?

so recently i got myself a Fender Bassman 50 for my Classic 50. I am really liking this amp but had couple questions about it.

is it weird that it has a master volume knob? i know that bassmans usually dont and i realized this yesterday when playing with it.

also i tried to date it by using the code, however, the code does not go up much.

is it possible that this bassman is kind of weird? or am i just weird?

It's unlikely that a Bassman 50 would be faked. While this model is a good amp, it is not one of the more desirable ones. Faking it would cost more than buying a real one.

Many of the 70's-80's Bassmans have stock master volumes from the factory, so your amp might not be weird. You, however, might be! :AOK

It is probably not a fake, like the poster above said Master volumes were common on silverfaces 72 and later. They are not valuable enough to fake.
