AWESOME Road Worn in the house

Walked into a music store in New Jersey, spoted an Oly White 60's road worn hanging on a surf board display. I was curious having read all the hype, pro and con. First thing I spot is a VERY flamey neck. I picked it up, wow guitar feels like under 7 lbs, neck is really super flamed, and very smoothe. I take it over and plug into a Princeton Reverb re-issue and can't believe my ears, this thing sings--in a vintage sort of woody sounding way. Never intended to purchase another strat that day, wound up putting money down, and picked it up last week. I took it to a Luthier friend for set up (intonation was off and some lower frets were uneven). I'll post pics when I get her back. I was so impressed I bought a brown tolex G&G case for her, used on e-bay. I must be excited, this is the longest post I've ever written.
By the way, I paid 760.00, and the store is in a 3% tax zone. What a great buy.

From the ones I've seen, I think the Olympic white looks best. Good choice!

Bought the blonde tele this week. A fall into the category of "I thought relics were totally lame but couldn't resist, it felt perfect".

I will say this if Fender is listening. I think the majority of the people buying these would prefer a "closet classic" rather than the somewhat heavy relic of the road worns. I wish I could have bought this with fewer dings but I love the nitro finish and feel of the neck.

The Oly White 60's RW is the best one! Sounds just great and raw.

Nice score on the price. Watch that flame neck, without a finish on it, it can move a lot. Every figured maple neck I get and don't use a hard finish with, does that and moves a lot, one warped on me. Save your receipt for warranty just in case, hopefully you won't need it though.

The road worns do have a nice woody tone, every one I tried. More than some CS ones I've owned.
