about how much is this PRS bass worth?
I rarely see PRS basses....and I'm wondering about what this one is worth.

Maybe a range, from a "low of $X, to a high of $Y" ?

Well, it's a two pickup, opaque model and where it's at now is more than I'd pay for a PRS bass.

i will say that i tried out one of those when it first came out, and it sounded really freaking good, like an imaginary perfect jazz bass or something. i haven't seen or heard of them since.

I wouldn't pay that much for it.

As for what it's worth, it's fairly collectible so if you could move it it might be worth your while to invest.

PRS guitars/basses are overated IMO... well, I guess the basses aren't, because I don't know anyone who plays them... but the guitars are. I've owned 3 PRS', and I'll never own another. There are too many small shop luthiers out there making killer basses and guitars to throw a bunch a money at an overbloated "custom" PRS guitar/bass.

Could it be that the builder has truly cracked the code of what makes a special strat special using science and physics, and in doing so has even discovered ways to up the ante?
