Strat with different Dumble ODS circuits
Hey, I'm a Strat player interested in a D-style (probably gonna be a Ceriatone) and wanted to know if any of you guys have played a Strat through a Bluesmaster HRM circuit. It seems like many Strat players prefer the Standard circuit, but I'm really digging the Ford tones on "Tell Me I'm Your Man" and especially "Strong Will To Live" from 'Handful of Blues'. They sounded like the Bluesmaster TS to me (lots of low mids and very thick and bass heavy), but I know he's not using a Strat. My question is what type of circuit do you guys most prefer for Strat use? Also, can the enormous low-end response of the Bluesmaster be dialed out at all? For reference, right now I'm plugged straight into a Twin Reverb with a Hot Plate (I'm not a pedal guy).

I've never been too crazy about straight up strats (single coil) and D-Style amp Overdrive channels.
That being said, flip the bright switch on in the clean channel, crank the gain -- and D-Style amps will produce the sweetest tones with a strat you will ever hear --- enough to make even the biggest strat fans wet in their pants. for me, teles and LPs rule when it comes to D-amps.

I agree with LVC, although if I had to choose, it would be the Skyliner Standard. I think it also depends a great deal on the type of pickups you have in the Strat. Can't go wrong with Fralins - Vintage Hots in the neck & middle, and the SP43 in the brigde. A strat loaded with this pup combination sounds great on both channels of most D-inspired amps IMO.

My old tele sounds great through my non hrm. Still dialing in the strat. Agree with LVC, those sounds are there. Trying out a 56 Les Paul later tonight, should be cool.
