One more "should've bought it right then..."

I was at guitar center yesterday. There was a Fender Coronado II on the wall. Red burst of some kind. Looked to be in generally good condition. Price?

$550.

I was purchasing an amp to fill in for mine (bad connection the day of a gig) that I'd return the following morning (today.) So I get back today to return the amp and immediately buy the Coronado...

"Oh man, some guy bought that literally ten minutes after you left."

Kicking myself. Hard.

You blame GC for someone defrauding them like that? Do you blame victims of crimes too?

I blame them for having a policy that would sell it to me as new, even though it clearly isn't. So, because a customer defrauds them, it's cool that they defraud me? Get real.

And no, I don't blame the victims of crimes. Not analogous at all.

Its not fraud to return it within the GC return policy. They permit it. Its just fraud if they sell it as new after the fact.

OP clearly stated he was buying the amp purely to get a free replacement amp for 24 hours - no intention to retain the item under any conditions = fraud, but one of those little white frauds that we don't need to bother with...

Anyways, I was bidding on a really nice Earl Klugh signature solid body nylon. I had $650 to spend, it went to 750ish, I had to back down. Brutal, but I just couldn't afford it.
