Mick Taylor cancels US Tour

I was really looking forward to seeing him at Black Eyed Sally's in Hartford....nice small club. Had a table reserved by a friend so it would have been great...they encouraged bringing things for him to sign as well.

Hope he gets well and gets back out.

He's got to be pushing 60. I hope he gets better. I'm waiting for Mick to tour with a killer band and rekindle the fire.

That picture was from a show this spring..here's a few more. I was surprised...not what I was expecting. I agree he doesn't look too good.

His 60th birthday was in January.

From another website:

"The London Free Press added this comment concerning Mick's condition:

Home County 2009's opening night is Friday at Victoria Park. The 2009 edition of Bluesfest London opens the same night at its outdoor location at King and Clarence. British guitar star Mick Taylor, set to play the fest's closing set Sunday, has just cancelled his North American dates.

"It is with deep regret that I must announce that the U.S. and Canadian dates scheduled for July and August will have to be cancelled, due to health concerns,'' Taylor says on his website. "During my stay in the hospital, my physicians have determined it would not be safe for me to travel at this time.'' He urged fans to visit www.micktaylor.net for details.

Bluesfest London general manager Chris Gould said last night 28 festivals are affected by the Taylor cancellations. The former Rolling Stone is suffering from pleurisy and has developed a blood clot, Gould said."

Well, he hasn't lived the life that would lead to being in perfect health at his age.

He is recovering from leg surgery. A guess would be to remove the clot.

Cancel as many dates as you have to and listen to the Docs, Mick. Get well soon.
