EVM15L 15" Guitar Speaker

Anyone know how these sound? I am buying one and need a good cabinet for it. I think I will just use a bass cabinet, closed back. Anyone have a good suggestion for cabinets?

I was wondering how much it is worth and if anyone has experience with using the EV 15" in a guitar cabinet? I would use it with my 1 x 12" combo as a bottom cabinet, I think??

EVM15L's are fantastic guitar speakers, especially for clean headroom.

Bob Burt Custom cabs builds a nice 15" guitar cab.

Value?? Depends on condition and how much the buyer wants it.

$100-$200 off the top of my head in good working order.

Thanks FFTT.... Now the question is, should I spend $200 on a cabinet for it? I have a Bogner Cube that I have used with V30, MC90, and Classic Lead. The V30 and MC90 sounded better in the Cube but I was wondering if the EVM15L would have more bottom in a single cabinet configuration over the Bogner Cube or a similar 2 x 12"?

Jimmy,

I have a EVM15L in an open back cabinet and it sounds great. I think you could probably get one for around $125 to $150 in good shape. It is a great compliment to another cabinet but sounds very good on its own as well. The amount of highs that speaker has is impressive. The bottom is good too but you need to push it with some power to make the bottom come alive.
