I have one for a month and a half (maybe a little longer) and I use it after the od's and before my delays (deep blue, nova and empress) on my badger18 rig. I use an EB 6166 as an expression pedal and wanna get a 3button switch because is a pain in the ass to use it without one!

Its a very cool pedal to have and gets much more use than I was hoping to when I first got it as I moslty got it for the Pitchflex algos to replace my Whammy (major tone-sucker) and maybe some use of the harmonies and synthonizer

The prestets are nice for starters and to get a feel on the algorythms and their possible uses. I have a made a few presets that I use regular and some others that dont get so much use but are cool and funky! :P

The synthonizer is very nice and head-turner (we are only guitar, bass & drums) on the gigs, its monophonic though and you have to play quite clean if you dont want it to get confused and act weird, I tend to play it with fingers instead of pick as I think it makes it sound more natural.

the whammy sounds on the pitchflex are excellent and with the filter option you can get some different timbres

I use the octaver to fill the space of our trio and get some phat tones!

I first thought the crystals were kinda useless, but now I use them to create some great soundscapes but should no be overused IMO

Micropitch is nice, it make me pull the Choralflange out of my pedalboard, it can be used as staight forward delay too (i do have a few delays on my pedalboard thouhg ) - it doesnt get much use though, neither the choralflange did.

to be honest I dont use the harmonies much, but i think they'll get more use in the future

the boys at eventide did a great job on the algorithms and the programming of the pedal, each and every effect is unique and integrated as you dont need to add or remove anything to make it sound good, you have everything you need on those 11 knobs!

have had one for about 2/3 months now. depending on your needs it can do a number of things pretty well- pitch shifting, extreme textural delays, simple delays, a little bit of modulation, etc...

I run mine after all of my drive type effects, before a timefactor.

audiences really get a kick out of the octaver effect and to a lesser extent the synth settings.

I find the synthonizer settings to have a strange dynamic response. you have to play clean and with a pretty stable picking dynamic, otherwise it will get wonky on you.

while not necessarily the designed purpose, I like to use the pitch-flex setting for basic octaves (up and down) as the filter is nice for cleaning up any unwanted artifacts. but sometimes i do like the warbly artifacts (radiohead-esque)

"crystals" can serve as a basic reverse delay when set to 0 pitch shift (up to 2 seconds of delay).

I usually run in relay bypass into the timefactor set to DSP+DLY. timefactor serves as a buffer/splitter and provides any delay spillover I may need. no issues with volume changes as run the input at gtr level and amp lvl on the output.

I run a home-made 3 button switch for bank down, pedal function (allows re-tuning any harmonizer settings, whammy functions, reseting the sequencer on the harpegiator) and the tuner. sometimes I'll use a treddle for the pedal controller, sometimes a latching footswitch (sometimes you don't need everything between 0 and 100)

lots to learn with it. like all multi-effects, it has a particular timbre regardless of settings and such (eventide seems to have a characteristic sound, as do digitech, tc, lexicon, etc.)

hope this helps

joe
