Does this look like a Classic Vibe to you?

I'm in need for a new project Strat and came upon this on CL for a really nice price. The guy selling it is the second owner and did not list it as a CV 60's. Were there any other Squiers that came in sunburst w/ tortoiseshell?

The Squier logo on mine is in silver, not all black like the photo. Also the tuners should be the classic ping style and the headstock should have one string tree, not two.

I think that may be one of the very low end Squires from the "Stop Dreaming, Start Playing" packs that come with the practice amp, gig bag, etc. My friend's kid has one in sunburst with a tort guard. I think it was about $200 new for the entire package.

Here is a link to one. Enlarge the photo of the sunburst one to compare.

Yes, that's exactly what it is without question... They are called Squier Strat LE's, and come in the strat packs. FWIW I've seen some with some HUGE necks... like bigger than the one on my 62 Hot Rod.

Hmmm....cheap Strat, questionable quality, possible giant neck....sounds perfect for a project. I'll have to go play it!
