Whats your preference

New or old?
Im not talking about a classic 60's strat or a 59 paul but a slightly older guitar that has been broken in already.
The reason I ask is i'm very light on my guitar, its taken me a good 3/4 years for it to lose that new feel. Im thinking of a few guitars but unsure if I wanna break a new one in or buy one that has seen some action.
Whats your preference ?

First off I have never been able to justify the money you lose by just walking out the door of the music store with a brand new gtr. As soon as you cross the threshhold, the value of the inst takes a serious dive.

Secondly, yes, I would just as soon have someone else put the first nicks, dents, and scratches in the thing. And if it's some design that needs "the bugs worked outta it", I would rather some other guy deals with "customer service" and not me.

I read with interest how many here would not even dream of purchasing a gtr that some unknown creature has sullied or defiled previous to their ownership. That's not me. I'm usually buying something thirty or so years old anyway.

New, unless I'm the one that wore it in.
