check out the track at the top of my myspace:

http://myspace.com/therealbobbyd

"40 Miles with ruff mix with WIIO and Dyna Red"

this mix has DYNA RED in the middle, doing all the guitar solos and fills.

the WIIO is tracked 3 or 4 times, and are panned pretty much hard left and right.

you can hear the two pedals doing what they do best.

Dyna Red is juicy compressed gainy distortion.

WIIO has a different feel and vibe, more "toppy" less compressed, more lower mid umph, complemented the Dyna Red VERY well.

i was just impressed that it caught Rob's ear, and he rolled with it immediately

give it a listen and see what you think.

Slightly resembling some Hiwatt flavor...a little...nailing the sound of a real Hiwatt, no way...just my opinion. I wonder if this unit would sound more like a Hiwatt if it was played through a Hiwatt?

a real hiwatt is a LOUD unforgiving MONSTER, lol.....

the WIIO does capture some of the vibe. ANY pedal that emulates an amp is gonna be more a TASTE of that amp than the real thing.

but it sure is easier to carry

nic at catalinbread has a nice early 70s full hiwatt stack, and did some clips comparing the two.

A loud monster, yes, that's why some of us love Hiwatts. I've never found Hiwatts to be unforgiving, although they are a bit more revealing of sloppy playing and bad technique due to their clean nature.

I listened to this demo and the break up is great but my Hiwatt doesn't break up until near the end of my volume/master limits. It's is a very clean amp and takes a lot to break her up in the same fashion as the demo. Great pedal though...sounds really nice
