Whats a good microphone to use with garageband?

I need a mic I can plug into the input of garageband, would like a decent quality, hopefully nothing too pricey-

I just use my regular mics with the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter cable I bought at the Mac store.
Important to note, however, the line levels may not be loud enough for talking volumes. In that case I've added a boost (I have an extra compressor laying around) to it.
