Went to Arbys. Thought I was doing good eating the Chicken Salad sandwich.

NOPE

830 calories and 44g fat GAAAAAAAA

I wanted the Gyro but thought it would be bad for my diet - 420 cal

Looks like the Roast Chicken there is the ticket.

Looks like its Sugar Free Jello for dinner :0)

A Whopper has 680 calories. My dad used to eat them about once a week. After a while he decides that they are too bad for him and switches to a BK Big Fish, assuming that because it's fish instead of beef it will be lower in calories. That sandwich has 710 calories. Even the veggie burger with cheese (which is the only thing I would eat from there) has 520 calories and that's hardly a meal. Bottom line for me is that fast food = fat food.

I made that same migration, with a stop on the grilled chicken sandwich along the way.

I've found that if you don't make it yourself, you can't assume anything about its nutritional value (or what is in it).

True that! At least if I cook it, I know what's in it and the sanitation grade of my own kitchen.

The killers are: 1) anything deep fried; 2) anything that still has the skin on it; 3) those sauces and mayo; 4) the two slices of cheese.

Did you know you can save 200 cals by passing on the cheese? And another 200 by passing on the mayo or sauces?

Oh and pass on the bun. They're loaded with sugar. Use it to hold the meat patty.

Small fries today are the same size as the large were when I was young.

Thank goodness. A grown man should only utter the word "sammich" when...well....ok....a grown man should never call a sandwich a "sammich".

you thought eating a sandwich from a fast food restaurant that's 50% mayonnaise, and 50% factory farmed chicken was going to be a good thing?
