Modeler + power amp + cab users... what speakers?

More importantly, did you decide on speakers you LOVE for specific tones or speakers that impart less character and allow more of the versatile modeled tones to shine through?
I rewired my Avatar 2x12 for stereo today and I just love the sound AND feel I'm getting now: AxeFX + Art SLA-1 + Avatar Cab
It's currently loaded with a Hellatone 30 and an Emi Legend. Sounds quite nice with Fender and Marshall type tones, loses a bit of chime and sparkle with my Vox and Matchless tones. But overall, I really like this rig for in the room tones and of course it will make a fantastic backline.
But, I need matched speakers (eventually) and I was set on Emi Delta Pro 12a's because they are supposed to be similar to EVM12L's and are apparently pretty neutral (in guitar speaker terms) and sound good with modeled amps.
I'm just trying to get some feedback to see if maybe I should gear my cab more towards speakers that I really like, period vs. speakers that are "jack of all trades" for use with a monitor. I mean, I could probably play an entire gig with ONE patch on the AxeFX (Clean Deluxe Reverb with two drive pedals, chorus, delay, compressor, etc...) into this cab.
Thoughts? I don't see using CABS on through this rig, most definitely CABS off at all times.

Hey Gasp,

I'm kindof in the same boat. I'm looking for another cab and was wondering if I should just buy a cab/speaker tone I like or get a decent cab and put a particularly neutral speaker in it.

It's for a 11R>Rocktron Vel 300>guitar cab arrangement.

My current cab has a brit voiced Emi and whilst it sounds good (even with Fender/Vox patches) another cab could be run at the same time (in mono) and I could just flick between channels to get more US voiced tones vs Brit voiced. Or just run stereo with a blend.

Worlds my oyster with this type or setup anyway, so experimenting will be fun regardless.

i use a 2x12 V30 cab b/c that's all i have. if i had to do it over again, i might opt for a somewhat higher powered speaker like the Lead80 or Seventy80 (or whatever other brand equivalent).

i just sort of wanted to do something with a bit more transparency in the character...

I'm just wondering if the "transparency" factor is geared towards people who are attempting to use cab sims ON with these rigs OR if getting a more transparent speaker still helps acheive more definition between amp types (even when NOT using cab sims) for a more versatile rig.
I like the tones I'm getting now, but if I can get even more out of this speaker cab setup that would be sweet. One benefit of going with something like the Emi Delta Pro 12's is increased power handling capability... these are rated @400watts
They are ~10lbs a piece so I would be adding another 5-10lbs to the speaker cab.

when i use a physical cab on stage, the cab sims are off.

it's about separating the amp sims a bit more. the V30's do that just fine, but a higher watt speaker will do it "better." but since i like my Orange clone cab, i'd have to buy another cab to do that - and i'm not taking that chance on a "maybe"...so i'm about to fully commit to FRFR for a specific application.

I do not have a modeling amp, but I use private jacks with both my 70 ies AC30 and my SF Bassman 50 Top. If they sound great with the real thing they should do with the models also.
