Country music just sank to another all time low

I was channel surfing today when I ran across the CMT video countdown. At #14 was Nickleback "This Afternoon". I understand pop and rocking country but Nickleback? They are not in the least bit country.

I was channel surfing yesterday and saw that CMT was playing one of their videos and wondered what in the world they were doing on a country music channel.

VH1, MTV and CMT being owned by the same company is the reason.

Well they sure as hell are not playing George Strait on MTV. I don't get it other than country is so crossover that anything goes.

"Much less George Jones, and more Steely Dan!" I believe is what the devil said, as he commanded the programmers of the various stations across the land... Of course, the minions got it wrong, and played non stop Nickleback... infuriating us all.
